A healthy simple stir fry recipe where you can change up the vegetables.
Serves: 6, Prep Time: 15 minutes, Total Time: 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Sauce
¼ cup Tamari or Braggs liquid aminos
1 ½ cups beef broth
6 garlic cloves
1 inch ginger
3 tbsp. arrowroot flour (optional)
1 tbsp. honey (optional)
Beef Stir Fry
1 ½ lbs beef sirloin, ribeye, tri-tip, tenderloin, or shoulder steak (thinly sliced)
1 large white onion (thinly sliced)
2 large bell peppers (sliced)
6 oz mushrooms (sliced)
1 lb broccoli (chopped)
2 tbsp. oil for frying
1 tbsp. sesame seeds for garnish
Directions
Cut vegetables and beef.
In a small bowl, mix together Tamari or Bragg’s amino acid, ginger, garlic, arrowroot flour (optional), and honey (optional).
Preheat a large skillet on medium heat and 1 tbsp. of avocado oil. Cook beef 3-4 minutes on each side (do it in a couple of batches to cook evenly). Set aside.
Add mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes. Set aside.
Return skillet to high heat, add remaining oil, peppers and onions. Cook for 3 minutes. Set aside.
Return skillet to medium heat, add broccoli, stir in sauce well and add to the skillet. Stir, let sauce come to a boil, then cook for a few minutes.
Return everything to the skillet. Stir gently, turn off heat.
Serve over quinoa or brown rice.
