Equally tasty ketchup without all of the sugar!
Serves: 4, Prep Time: 15 minutes, Total Time: 1 hour 5 minutes.
Ingredients
2 cartons Pomi tomatoes (pureed or crushed)
½ onion (chopped)
½ cup apple cider vinegar
1 tbs. brown rice syrup
1 tsp. ground allspice
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Bring all ingredients to a boil, stirring to dissolve. Reduce heat to simmer for 50 minutes until thick. Blend with a blender or food processor. You can freeze what you won't use in a month.
